Adriano Ramos or Elton Alves, one of them will be the first Future FC champion. After great victories in the first editions, the flyweights return to the decagon for the title fight, May 24, at Centro Universitário Ítalo Brasileiro, in São Paulo-SP.
"Adrianinho", 27 years old, needed just 1 minute and 36 seconds inside the cage to knock out Vinicius "Lok Dog", add up to his sixth career knockout and to qualify for the belt fight. Now, he hopes to begin the realization of a dream he had recently.
"I'm going to be Future champion, I'm going to sign a contract with LFA and I'm going to be a champion there too. I had a dream and in that dream I had two belts, one on each shoulder, so this is already written!", believes the Inside athlete. "Being a Future champion means being recognized in Brazil and in the world. I will be the first champion and I will have my name engraved on the history of the event. "
On the other side of the decagon, Elton Alves "The King", 24, won the title fight after an excellent performance against Alan Gabriel "Tilico". About to make the most important fight of his career, the Strong Team athlete is direct when asked about where he hopes Future's belt takes him.
"I hope to sign with the UFC and be a champion there too", he projects. "Being a future champion is a great opportunity to grow in MMA, because I will have the belt of one of the biggest events in the world, something that I have always dreamed of and is now becoming a reality."
Card changes
One of the card's stars, Matheus Nicolau has a new opponent: Wagner Lima. He replaces Alan Gomes, released by the organization to make a contract fight he has with the Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) event in Russia. Both Nicolau and Lima have only lost once since 2013 and promise a very exciting duel.
Another change in the card was the output of the fight between strawweights Jady Menezes and "Day Monster". The duel was withdrawn after an injury to the former Glory Kickboxing champion, spotted last week. With this, Future FC 5 now has a total of 13 fights.
Future FC 5 will be broadcast live, in high definition with comments in English and Portuguese on the official website and event app, available for free download on Google Play and the App Store.
