With a first round knockout, Gustavo Erak, 26, was one of the highlights of the first edition of Future FC in January. Less than two months later, the featherweight is back to the decagon, this time as one of the protagonists. He faces Wanderley Ferreira Jr. in the main event of Future 3, which happens on March 22 Indaiatuba-SP, his hometown.

"It's always good to fight at home, with my family and friends, vibrating. I have fought many times in my opponent's city, I know that if we do not focus, this can influence the fight. Regardless of where I fought, I always keep focus on seeking victory. Fighting at home demands responsibilities, there is a pressure, but I use it as a motivation, "said the host, who has won 20 of his 26 matches.

Two years younger than Erak, Wanderley Mexicano says he's prepared for the big challenge. Professional since 2015, he has won 8 of the 10 fights he has done, more than half by submission. His only losses were for UFC athlete Anderson Berinja and the winner of the main event of the last edition of Future FC and now LFA athlete Joanderson Tubarão.

"It will not be the first time I enter as an underdog. I guarantee that, for me, it makes no difference, my focus is who is in front of me. Those who watch can expect a full show, as I am a complete fighter and have the ability to adapt according to the specialty of the opponent. I know he (Erak) is an experienced athlete who likes the striking, but I'm very well trained and prepared for what he has to offer", says Mexicano.

Prospects in action

In the co-main event, another clash between two Brazilian promises, only that of the bantamweight: Shooto Brazil and Juiz de Fora Fight champion, Glyan Alves, 24, faces Herberth Índio, 25, who did a good campaign in Jungle Fight and fought for the belt.

The card still has other prospects from Brazil. The heavyweight 6'10 Renan Problema, protégés of Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira in class, flyweight Rafinha Costa, cousin of UFC fighter Charles Do Bronx and bantamweight Gabriel Braga, son of veteran fighter Diego Braga. They face Fabrício Almeida, João Alicate and Thiago Taveira, respectively.
