First Future FC athlete to sign with the Legacy Fighting Alliance, Rafael "Coxinha" Barbosa has a date, place and opponent for his debut. The featherweight faces American Cameron "Camelot" Graves at LFA 63, set for March 29 in Belton, Texas.

Brazilian karate champion, "Coxinha" debuted in professional MMA in 2016 and has a 10-fight record in 11 fights, most via knockout. The mastery with which he applies the modality in the cage excited of Lyoto Machida, that invited him to be part of his camp, in Los Angeles.

"In those weeks in Los Angeles, I have evolved a lot, learned a lot of techniques, a lot of details of strategy and, most importantly, I was sure that everyone can realize the dream," said the fighter revealed in the social project Maquininha do Futuro in São José do Rio Preto-SP.

Training at Blackhouse, the Brazilian will face a local opponent who fought in the LFA. Cameron "Camelot" is also striker and, like "Coxinha", won most of his fights via knockout. But nothing that impresses the Karateca.

"He has an aggressive standing game, has good grappling techniques, but he's a normal fighter. I'm going to make my game, based on the distance domain, prevent it from becoming comfortable. I believe he has never faced a karate and this will be a differential in my favor, "said the Brazilian. "The LFA can expect a dedicated athlete, who will do the best every time he enters the cage."
