Taigro Costa returns to action on July 26, when he will face Herbeth 'Índio' in the 7th edition of the Future MMA, in search of the bantamweight title (135 lb). Aware of the importance of doing the main event of the show scheduled for the city of São Paulo, 'White Bear' was said to be motivated to dispute the inaugural belt of the category.

"I feel very happy to have received this proposal, very gratified. It's a unique opportunity to make this belt contest. The motivation increases, we become more focused on work", he said, in an interview with Future's press office.

Training partner of Thiago 'Marreta' on the TFT team, Taigro revealed that the former UFC light heavyweight champion (205 lb) usually advises him and his colleagues. In addition, 'White Bear' exalted the performance of his team mate in the duel against Jon Jones, who, at the event earlier this month, had the victory decreed by split decision for the first time in his career.

"A guy who came from a community like the Cidade de Deus and shocked the world, we're very happy about it, he's a guy who's always sharing his knowledge with the team, like a family, the TFT team, he always tells us not to give up, to run behind, and that's what I and other athletes on the team are doing", explained.

At age 31, Taigro went through the Russian ACB event before debuting at Future MMA in March with a win over Claudio Marcelino. Now in search of the company's belt, the featherweight, which adds 15 wins and four losses in his professional cartel, thanked the opportunity to make the main fight of the greatest MMA event in Brazil.

"Future has come to add, it is giving a great expectation for the athletes here in Brazil to fight outside. This visibility that Future is giving is unique in discovering the new talents. I am very happy to be part of a great show like Future and do the main event. I will give a show to this wonderful audience that is always accompanying us and valuing our work", he concluded.
